🔼 That’s 3. The women’s lacrosse team won its third game of the season, beating Furman 18-12. The Pirates scored eight goals in the second quarter to secure the win. The team used a program-record 20 draw controls to dictate possession. Frances Kimel scored two goals in the first 79 seconds of the game, which got her to a career mark of 100 goals. She is the third ECU player to hit the milestone.

🔼 Five Honors. The track and field team competed in the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships and had five individuals earn All-Conference Honors. Melicia Mouzzon won the 60m event with her 7.27 time. Overall, the Pirates finished in seventh with 47 points from the women and 31 points from the men.

🔼 More Dubs. The softball team played in the Pirate Invitational and beat Towson 9-2 and 6-0, Rider 9-1, and beat N.C. Central 6-0 and 5-0. Logan Sutton and Mackenzie Mason’s RBIs took the lead for the Pirates in the first game against Towson. Addy Bullis earned the win in the second game against Towson as she struck out four and only allowed two hits.

Emma Jackson got the runs going in the win over Rider with her RBI single. Jordan Hatch, Taylor Apple, Payton Hudson and Devin Long combined for a no-hitter in the first N.C. Central game. This was the first no-hitter in Pirate softball since 2011. Morgan Johnson hit a home run in the first game against the Eagles and a grand slam in the second game, her second of the season.

🏴‍☠️ Back to Dubs. The women’s basketball team broke its three-game losing skid and took down SMU 74-64 on Saturday. The Pirates started the game strong with 21 points in the first quarter and 30 points in the second. Danae McNeal had 22 points, and Tatyana Wyche and Amiya Joyner had double-doubles.

🏴‍☠️ Home Win. The women’s tennis team beat Campbell 6-1 on Saturday. The Pirates won the doubles point and five singles matches.
