📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Extra, Extra! The Pirates had themselves a long, hard-fought night against William & Mary. The game went into 13 innings, lasted five and a half hours and the Pirates came out on top 14-13. The Pirates set the program single-game record for pitching strikeouts with 22. Carter Cunningham tied the career-high single-game marks in hits with four and at-bats with seven.

🔼 Sweeping the Honors. The ECU baseball team swept the American Athletic Conference Weekly honors. Ryley Johnson earned Player of the Week, and Trey Yesavage earned Pitcher of the Week. This is the first time Johnson earned a weekly honor and Yesavage’s second in a row. Johnson hit .533 with eight runs scored, six RBIs, two doubles, a triple, a home run and five walks. He has an on-base streak of 33. Yesavage threw six scoreless innings and hitless innings with a season-high 12 strikeouts.

🏴‍☠️ Thank You! The Struyk family made a $1 million investment towards the Pirates Unite Campaign for Comprehensive Excellence. Curtis Struyk and his son C.J. both played football at ECU. The donation will go towards the Isley Indoor Performance Center, which will benefit all student-athletes.
