🔼 Tied Up. The soccer team hosted UNCW Thursday night and tied 1-1. Caitlen-Star Dolan Boodram scored the opening goal in the 54th minute. The Pirates had six shots, and four were on goal. Goalkeeper Olivia Dietrich had two saves and allowed one goal.

🔼 Fell Short. The Pirates fell to NC State 24-17 in the season opener on Thursday night. Jayvontay Conner caught a 79-yard pass from Katin Houser for a touchdown in the second quarter. Marlon Gunn Jr. rushed four yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Nick Mazzie made a 34-yard field goal to end the game. The Pirates passed for 383 yards and rushed for 30.
