Good morning. It’s bigger than just a game. The softball team had its Breast Cancer Awareness game on Friday. The team wore pink accessories to support.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Series Dub. The softball team pulled out big wins in the series against Memphis. The Pirates won game one 5-1. Emma Jackson went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs, and Kendall Frost recorded a complete game in the circle. Next, they had a run-rule win of 17-1. Annie Kate Dalton and Gabby Fowler both hit grand slams. The Pirates finished the series with a 4-3 win. Morgan Johnson hit the game-tying home run in the bottom of the fifth and Mary-Kathryn Scott plated the go-ahead run in the bottom of the sixth.

🔼 Hat Trick Happy. The lacrosse team beat Old Dominion 12-10. Riley Matthiesen and Kayla Wilkes recorded hat tricks. The Pirates are now 2-1 in conference play.

One Win. The women’s tennis team split its weekend. The Pirates fell to No. 40 Charlotte and beat UNC Greensboro.

🏴‍☠️ Record Set. The track and field team competed at the Pepsi Florida Relays. Kelly Ufodiama broke the program record at 200m and ran the fastest 100m time in ECU history. Three other athletes and one relay team registered top 10 marks in program history.
