🔼 Going Pro! The baseball team has three players headed to the MLB! Ethan Norby was selected in the fourth round (122 overall) by the Cincinnati Reds. He spent three years as a Pirate and totaled a 3.91 ERA, with 19 wins through 56 appearances and 38 starts. Gavin Van Kempen was selected in the 12th round (373 overall) by the Los Angeles Dodgers. He spent one year at ECU and posted a 1.84 ERA in six starts with 45 strikeouts in 29.2 innings. Joseph Webb signed with the Seattle Mariners.

MLB Pirates. After Gavin Van Kempen and Ethan Norby got drafted, Cliff Godwin now has a total of 32 Pirates in the MLB.

Currently in her eighth year at East Carolina, Spain has successfully managed all retail operations and logo licensing for the athletic department since her promotion in April 2022.
