🔼  New Four. The softball team signed four new players to the 2027 roster! Ansley Bennett is a utility player/pitcher from Summersville, S.C. Last season, she was at South Carolina where she played in 36 games. She made six appearances in the circle and reached base in four straight games. Reece Outlaw played two seasons at North Carolina. As a utility player, she made 24 starts in 2026, recorded 10 hits, scored 18 runs and had a .935 fielding percentage. Andee Dircks played two seasons at Michigan. As a first baseman, she played in three games last season, recorded a hit and an RBI. Jade Bubke is an infielder who played two seasons at Washington. Last season she had 21 hits and 10 RBIs with six doubles and two home runs.

🏴‍☠️ Miss You. East Carolina Athletics Hall of Famer Richard “Rooster” Narron passed away at the age of 80. Narron was a two-time All-Southern Conference selection and 1967 All-American. He helped the Pirates to a pair of SoCon championships and was inducted into the ECU Hall of Fame in 1978. Following his collegiate career, Narron founded and co-owned the Sportsman's World, which operated for 46 years, selling sports equipment to the communities of Eastern North Carolina.
