🔼 Diamond Rival. It was an ECU alumni face off when the St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays matched up with Shawn Armstrong on the mound and Alec Burleson at the plate—and we won’t spoil the ending. Check out the video above and watch it for yourself.

It’s crazy to think that there’s an eight-year age gap between the two, yet they’re both playing at such a high level. Shawn Armstrong played his freshman and sophomore year at ECU, while Alec Burleson played at ECU until his junior year and got drafted just a few years ago in the second round.

🔼 Little Time. The clock is ticking down to the final 24 hours before football has their first scrimmage. The three most important things head coach Mike Houston wants the players to do now is get their bodies right with nutrition, hydration, and recovery.

Houston says they are 85-90 percent ready for the scrimmage. They plan on having a light practice today and working on the late-game tactics so they are ready to go tomorrow.
