Good morning. A diamond is sitting at Lewis Field at Clark-LeClair Stadium, and some Pirates are ready to take it for themselves. That’s right. The boys of ECU baseball are going to own this season.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 In the Ranks. The baseball team just got selected 11th in the D1Baseball Preseason Top 25 Poll. This is the sixth time in a row ECU has been in the poll and the third time being ranked 11th.

The Pirates are coming off of a strong season after capturing its fourth-straight American Athletic Conference regular season title. The boys went all the way to advance to the NCAA Charlottesville Regional finals. Overall, the team went 47-19 and 18-6 in conference play before the title game.

There are 20 returners on the team this season, and only 30 days left until the first series of the season. The Pirates will take on Rider at home from Feb. 16-18.
