Good morning Pirates. The men’s basketball team added to its staff! Andre Gray will and an assistant coach and Nick Matson will be an associate head coach.

🔼 Home Series Dub. The baseball team dominated the series opener against Wichita State. The Pirates won 7-1 on Friday. Jack Herring hit a two-run homer. Ethan Rose earned the win on the mound. ECU won game two of the series 7-1 on Saturday. Brayden Bachman hit a homer. Jeff Sabater went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate. The men fell in game three 13-1.
🔼 Diamond Wins. The softball team started its series against South Florida with a 1-0 victory on Friday. Gabby Fowler hit a walk-off solo home run in the seventh inning. Julia Apostolakos threw a career-high seven strikeouts for the complete game. The women secured the series win on Saturday with a 2-1 walk-off win. Erin Parker hit a walk-off solo home run. Taylor Apple earned the win in relief. ECU fell in game three 3-1.

🏴☠️ Run It. The track and field team competed at the Wake Forest Invitational. Katrina Ford now holds the No. 2 fastest time in the American Conference this season in the 1500m event. Abrielle Schweitzer’s 1500m time ranks No. 2 in school history. The Pirates also competed at the Aggie Invitational. Ja’Darien Parker finished third in the 100m dash. His time ranks No. 19 nationally, second in the conference and fourth in program history.
