🔼 Series Sweep. The baseball team started its series against Charlotte with a 12-2 run-rule win on Friday. Davin Whitaker and Walker Barron each hit homers. The Pirates had a total of nine hits. Luke Payne collected a win on the mound after 4.0 innings of work where he struck out six batters. The Pirates did it again on Saturday with a 12-9 win. Barron, Alex Bouche and Matt Lashley all hit homers. Ethan Rose earned the win on the mound. ECU won the final game 15-5 in seven innings. Braden Burress and Jack Herring both hit home runs.

🔼 Near the Top. The women’s golf team is tied for second place at the Ironwood Invitational. The Pirates have a score of 300 (+12). Isabella Taylor-Stokes is competing individually and is in first place. Lisa Forss is competing with the team and is in sixth place individually.

🏴‍☠️ Won the Series. After falling to Charlotte 8-1 on Friday, the Pirates came back on Saturday with a 2-0 win to secure the series. Kanisha Anderson went 2-for-2 at the plate in the victory. Julia Apostolakos allowed just one hit in seven innings of work. The Pirates are now 24-17 overall.
