🔼 Champs Recap. The track & field team competed in the American Indoor Championships. On day one, Jocelyn Pringle won the women’s weight throw. Kelly Ufodiama broke The event record for the 60m dash in prelims at 7.25 seconds. On day two, the Pirates earned their best team finish since 2018, as they finished fifth with 74 points. Ufodiama was named the meet’s Most Valuable Performer and conference Freshman of the Year.

🔼 Diamond Wins. The baseball hosted the LeClair Classic and run-ruled Indiana State 13-1. The Pirates had 11 hits and only used two pitchers. Dixon Williams went 3-for-4 at the plate with three runs scored and an RBI. Sean Jenkins struck out six batters in six innings of work. Next, the Pirates beat Virginia Tech 6-1. Alex Bouche hit a two-run home run and went 2-for-4 at the plate.

🔼 Upset! The women’s basketball team beat South Florida 66-57. Amiya Joyner led the team with 23 points, 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocks. This was the program’s first victory over South Florida since 2015.

🔼 Senior Day Dub. The men’s basketball team beat Charlotte 78-76 on Senior Day. RJ Felton scored 27 points. Jordan Riley had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. This is the Pirates first winning season since 2012-13.
