🔼 Even Steven. The men’s basketball team evened out its standing in the TowneBank Holiday Classic with a win over Georgia Southern. The Pirates are now 1-1 going into the last game tomorrow against Kennesaw State. Quentin Diboundje scored a career-high 27 points on 7-10 shooting from behind the arc. RJ Felton was right behind with 19 points, and Brandon Johnson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

🔼 First Day Out. The women’s basketball team is in the Bahamas playing in the Baja Mar Pink Flamingo Championship and started off the trip with a tough match against No. 15/10 Ohio State. The Pirates scored the most points in the second period with 21, but it wasn’t enough to catch up to the Buckeyes. In a 79-55 loss, Synia Johnson led the team with 14 points, and Amiya Joyner had 12. Tomorrow, the Pirates take on Seton Hall at 11 a.m. ET.

Fall Finale. The swim and dive team is finished competing for 2023 and will pick back up in January with six meets before the American Athletic Conference Championships at the end of February.

🏴‍☠️  Mission Mandatory. The baseball team is working hard this fall to prepare for the upcoming spring season. They are currently going through mission week, where the athletes are getting stronger with multiple different bootcamp style exercises.

🏴‍☠️  Offensive Switch. Head coach Mike Houston sent out a statement regarding offensive coordinator Donnie Kirkpatrick. They “mutually agreed to part ways and go in a different direction offensively at the conclusion of the season.”
