🔼  What a Guy. He’s our kicker, and he’s great. The American Athletic Conference just named Andrew Conrad the Special Teams Player of the Week after setting a program single-game record and tying for second in league history with first field goals made in last week’s victory. Conrad also tied an NCAA single-game standard as the third kicker in FBS history to convert five field goal attempts of 40 yards or longer. His longest of the game was 47 yards.

🔼  Closing a Chapter. The cross country team competed in its final meet last weekend at the NCAA Southeast Regional. The men took 22nd while the women landed in 24th. Alex Sawyer led the men with a 31:12.3 10k time. The women were led by Alyssa Zack with her 6k time of 21:24.2. Many of the cross country athletes will be competing in the track and field season, so keep an eye out for upcoming meets.

🏴‍☠️  We Miss Ya. Big shoutout to the Earl Boykin family for the huge $100,000 donation to the Pirates Unite Campaign. Earl was a Pirate for life, and his wife decided to donate the money in his honor after passing away this fall. The money will go toward the expansion of the baseball building, and the area in front of Clark-LeClair Stadium will be named the Earl Boykin Plaza.
