🔼 Coach Talks. The second half of each football game has not been the best for the Pirates, but head coach Mike Houston has worked with the team on a couple of things so the men can be strong all four quarters.

Limiting penalties is a main concern for Houston. Most of them have been fundamentals, technique, pre-snap, and post-whistle penalties, and not so many discipline penalties. When it comes to starting quarterback, Houston is basing his decision off of how the athlete performed in past games and during practices and putting in the right person at the right time.

🔼 Youngin’. Age isn’t even a concern for Antione Jackson. The 17-year-old made his collegiate debut on the ECU defense against Appalachian State and had two solo tackles, and assisted in one tackle. On an even better note, Jackson had a pick-six in the third quarter. But what is it like being the youngest on the team? Old Foe. The soccer team resumes conference play tonight against UAB. Although UAB is new to the conference this year, this isn’t the first time ECU has faced them in soccer. The last time the Pirates played the Blazers was from 2002-2013.
