🔼 Hungry Hearts. Get ready to eat some yummy food, win raffles, and meet both men’s and women’s basketball players at the ECU Basketball Tip-Off Luncheon. The luncheon will be on Oct. 17 in Harvey Hall from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Head coaches Kim McNeill and Michael Schwartz will be speaking, and the basketball players will be in attendance to sign autographs. An individual ticket costs $20, and a table of 10 seats is $200.

🔼 Motion Detected. The ECU baseball team just teamed up with Uplift Labs to improve their skills at practice. Uplift is focusing on the Pirate’s pitching development with a 3D motion capture solution and automated reporting. The 20 pitchers on the fall roster will get extra feedback on their form with the new technology.

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

Split Time. In the voyage to find a full-time quarterback, ECU has let two to three quarterbacks play in each game to find who steals the show. In the game against Gardner-Webb, Alex Finn, Mason Garcia, and Raheim Jeter all had time as QB.

🏴‍☠️ Showing Off. The Almanac has Bobby Pettiford Jr. as one of the Breakout Players of the Year. Pettiford is a junior who transferred from Kansas to ECU this season. The guard played 32 games at Kansas last season and finished with 71 points, 43 assists, and 38 rebounds.

🏴‍☠️ Donate Now. There are 435 student-athletes at ECU, and all of them deserve the best collegiate experience. A former student-athlete felt so generous to donate $50,000 to the Pirates Unite Campaign. You can donate to the cause here.
