🔼 Howdy, Partner. The four-time defending American Athletic Conference champions brought in a new coach for their 2023 season—Henri Lartigue will be assistant coach and hitting coach for ECU baseball.

Lartigue was at Arkansas State last season as a volunteer assistant coach, where he helped the catcher, hitters, and other operations. His knowledge of the game comes from being one of the nation's top catchers in his final year at Oxford.

Lartigue then went on to play six seasons in professional baseball when the Philadelphia Phillies selected him with the first pick of the seventh round in the 2016 MLB Draft.

🔼 Roger That. Safety transfer Omar Rogers is back to looking like one of the highest-graded defenders in the entire FCS. Pro Football Focus metrics gave him that ranking last year, but a knee injury slowed his mojo.

He was careful when performing in the Purple & Gold spring game but has recovered well and is at full speed now. He’s competing for the starting safety spot behind Teagan Wilk and Devon King.
