Good morning Pirates. The women’s basketball team won its Senior Day game against Charlotte 64-57. The senior class combined for 55 of the teams’ 64 points. The contest honored Savannah Brooks, Jayla Hearp, Anzhané Hutton, Kennedy Fauntleroy, Keanna Rembert and Bobbi Smith. Hutton led the team with 14 points.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Senior Day. The men’s basketball team beat Memphis 84-68 on Sunday during Senior Day. Jordan Riley scored a game-high 31 points and grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds. Corey Caulker notched his first double-double of the year with 16 points and 11 assists. This was the first time ECU beat Memphis since the 2021-22 season.

🔼 Classic. The baseball team hosted the Keith LeClair Classic this past weekend. The Pirates started off hot with a 14-2, seven-inning win over Rutgers. The men had 13 hits and Ethan Norby earned the win on the mound. Next, they beat Troy 5-2. Gavin Van Kempen struck out nine batters in the win. The Pirates fell in Sunday’s game against Western Carolina 2-0.

🔼 Battle Time. The softball team hosted Battle At the Max this past weekend. The team had a huge win to start the tournament against Rider. The women won 10-2 in five innings. Next, they beat St. John’s 2-1. The Pirates came back to beat Rider again, 7-2. ECU finished the weekend with a 2-1 win against St. John’s and a 9-4 loss against Campbell. The Pirates are now 14-8 overall.

🔼 Championships. The track and field team competed at the American Conference Championship this past weekend. The team had eight All-Conference finishes. Kelly Ufodiama earned Most Valuable Performer honors for the third time in as many conference meets across indoor and outdoor track and field. She remains undefeated in individual events, defending her titles in both the 60m and 200m. Brianna Clayton earned All-Conference accolades as well in the women’s 200m, finishing second behind Ufodiama.

Final Game. The women’s basketball team plays its final game of the regular season against Tulsa on Saturday.

ECU is currently ##-# overall and 13-4 in conference play.
