📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Wonderful Time. Back to back nights of wins inside of Minges? That’s how we like it. The women played their holiday game against Charleston Southern and came out victorious. The Pirates beat the Buccaneers 75-46, with two athletes hitting career marks. Micah Dennis hit 500 career points, and Danae McNeal hit 1,000 career points. Karina Gordon led the team with 16 points, and Amiya Joyner had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

🔼 Communication is Key. Two Pirate football players were recognized to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team. Alex Flinn and Jackson Barker had a cumulative GPA at or above 3.5 and competed in 90% of the team’s games or started at least 66% of the contests.

Flinn is working on his MBA and holds a 3.87 graduate GPA. Barker has a 3.54 undergraduate GPA as an exercise physiology major.

Home Grown. National Signing Day for football was on Wednesday, and the Pirates gained 20 new teammates. There were even a few from right here in North Carolina.
