🔼 Pro Ready. ECU baseball players Dixon Williams and Ethan Young were selected in the 2025 MLB Draft. Williams was a junior infielder who was selected in the fourth round as the 136th overall pick by the Atlanta Braves. He closes his college career at ECU, starting all 62 games and batting .299. Young is a junior pitcher who was selected in the fifth round as the 150th overall pick by the St. Louis Cardinals. He finished his college career after 23 games in his lone career at ECU. Young went 5-0 with three saves.
🔼 Scholars. The swim and dive team had athletes earn awards for their academics. Kaylee Hamblin and Elena Dinehart both received Second Team Scholar All-America accolades from the College Swim Coaches Association of America. The Pirates had at least a 3.5 GPA and met a “B” time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
