🔼 Anotha’ One. In the 2024 MLB Draft, Jacob Jenkins-Cowart was selected in the eighth round by the Miami Marlins. He was the 244th overall pick and the second Pirate to be drafted this season. Jenkins-Cowart was one of three Pirates to start all 63 games as right fielder. He set the AAC and ECU single-season RBI records with 79. The Pirate ranked 32nd in the NCAA Division I for hits and 45th for sacrifice flies.

🏴☠️ Pick the Pirates. Junior catcher Ryan McCrystal was selected in the ninth round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds. McCrystal was the 269th overall pick and the 25th Pirate draft pick under head coach Cliff Godwin. He started 35 games this past season as the designated hitter and played 16 games as catcher. He hit .346 with 26 runs scored, 10 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 39 RBIs, 98 total bases, 16 walks and two stolen bases.
