🔼 Series Win. The baseball team faced Liberty and won 9-5, 5-3, and 8-4. Carter Cunningham drove in a career-high five runs in game one. The Pirates came back in game two with a three-run sixth inning to tie the game 3-3 and added a run in the seventh and ninth innings to win. In game three, the Pirates scored six unanswered runs. Carter Cunningham ended the series by extending his hitting streak to 14 games.

🔼 Quarterfinal Ready! The women’s basketball team continues its time in the American Athletic Conference as they play in the quarterfinals today at 1 p.m. The Pirates got here by defeating Memphis 65-63. Tatyana Wyche and Amiya Joyner both posted double-doubles, and Danae McNeal scored 19 points. The team had 14 blocks, which is an AAC Tournament record.

🏴‍☠️ She’s Too Good. The American Athletic Conference named Danae McNeal Defensive Player of the Year and First-Team All-Conference. Tatyana Wyche also was named to the First-Team and the AAC All-Newcomer squad.

🏴‍☠️ Historic Day. Tatyana Wyche had a historic game against Memphis. She had 14 points and 17 rebounds. Not only is that a double-double, that is a career-high in rebounds. She had six blocks, which is the second most in AAC Tournament history. One of those blocks happened in the last four seconds of the game to secure the win.
