🔼 New Coach. The football team welcomes Jordan Hankins as the new defensive coordinator. Hankins was previously at the University of Memphis for five seasons. In 2025, Hankins helped the Tigers to an 8-5 overall record. Memphis was ranked among the top 50 FBS leaders in six defensive categories.

🔼 Last and First. Men’s basketball player Giovanni Emejuru was named to the American Conference Honorable Mention for the last week of 2025. For the first week of 2026, women’s basketball player Keanna Rembert was named the American Conference Player of the Week. Rembert averaged 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. She had a career-high 27 points in the team’s overtime win against UAB.

🏴‍☠️ New Player. The men’s basketball team announced the mid-year addition of Demitri Gardner. Gardner is a guard from Augusta University. He spent four seasons at Augusta University and was named First Team All-Peach Belt Conference in 2024-25. During that season, he ranked No. 12 in the nation in scoring at 23.2 points per game.
