Former Pirate Carson Whisenhunt pitched four innings, allowed one hit, no runs, and struck out seven in his start for the San Jose Giants this week.

🔼 Festivities Set. We found your Saturday plans!
ECU Athletics and the Pirate Club are hosting Pirate Festivities on Saturday, April 29 on the Grady-White Boats Athletic Campus, with several fun activities planned.
The festivities kick off at 12:00pm ET with the Pirate Equipment Sale in the Carl and Connie Rogers Pirate Club Level.
🔼 Draft Dreams. The NFL Draft starts tonight in Kansas City, an event that will make hundreds of players’ dreams come true.
Back in March, 31 of 32 NFL teams attended East Carolina’s Pro Day, where 12 pro-hopeful Pirates worked out in front of scouts.
🔼 Leaping To The Top. Jared Harrell is having a fantastic freshman year at East Carolina - it continued this week with the AAC Men’s Field Athlete of the Week award.
Harrell triple-jumped to the ninth-best mark in school history last week at the USC Open with a distance of 15.25m. At his pace, that PR won’t last long - Harrell has already PR’d three times during the outdoor season.
🔼 Senior Spotlight. In the midst of a school record 10-win regular season, East Carolina lacrosse gets one more home game on Saturday.
Leading up to their matchup with James Madison, the Pirates are shouting out their seniors, who are suiting up at Johnson Stadium one last time.
