🔼 Taming The Tigers. Entering the weekend a half-game back in the AAC standings, East Carolina baseball hosts Memphis (8-10 AAC) for a three-game series in the Jungle.
The Tigers are winners of five straight, with wins over Wichita State, Arkansas State, and a sweep of South Florida last weekend over that stretch.
Houston, currently holding the pole position in the conference, travels to Tulane (7-11 AAC) for three games this weekend.
🔼 Tough Day. It wasn’t East Carolina softball’s day at the AAC Championships, losing in the first round to South Florida, 7-0.
Taudrea Sinnie and Jocelyn Alonso registered the two hits in the game for the Pirates. Addy Bullis got the start in the circle and was tagged with the loss, throwing one inning and allowing two runs, one earned.
🔼 Tampa Is For Speed. East Carolina track and field is in Tampa this weekend for the AAC Championships, hosted by South Florida. There are plenty of Pirates to keep an eye:
🥇 Jared Harrell - AAC Indoor long jump champion
🏃 Royal Burris - second place in AAC Indoor 200m
🏃♀️ Melicia Mouzzon - sixth place in 60m and 200m at AAC Indoor
💣 Naadiya Faison - second place in the shot put at AAC Indoor
