🔼 Just Keep Winning. East Carolina got the brooms out once again this weekend, sweeping Memphis in its final home series of the season.

If you blinked in the first inning, you missed the drama in this one - the Pirates scored six runs in the opening frame and never looked back. Justin Wilcoxen and Alec Makarewicz both homered in the game.

The Pirates chose to score their runs late in this one, scoring four times in the seventh and five in the eighth. Josh Moylan and Carter Cunningham both hit a pair of home runs against the Tigers.

Makarewicz turned the offense on in this one, going 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBI, including a towering two-run homer. Jacob Jenkins-Cowart did his part as well, chipping in two hits and two RBI.

🔼 Jump For Joy. Don’t picture Jack Sparrow when you think about Pirate track and field - East Carolina showed real speed at the AAC Championships over the weekend.

Royal Burris highlighted day three, finishing second in both the men’s 100m and 200m, with times of 10.11 seconds and 20.20 seconds, respectively. Melicia Mouzzon finished third in the women’s 100m in 11.21 seconds.
