Today, we're shaking it off Taylor Swift-style.

📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Haters Hate. East Carolina women’s basketball was picked last - that’s 11th out of 11 - by the coaches of the AAC before last season started.

That fact served as motivation all season long - until the confetti fell on the team as champions of the AAC Championship in Fort Worth, Texas.

🔼 Back At It. Two days after a marathon against Campbell, East Carolina baseball is back on the field tonight to start its final regular season series at South Florida.

The Bulls sit at 7-14 in AAC play, and have lost three consecutive games leading into this weekend.

The East Carolina bats woke up in a big way against Campbell in the midweek, and get a favorable pitching matchup this weekend as well. South Florida holds a 6.75 team ERA, and has given up over nine runs per game over its last six games.

🔼 Decades Of Service. A huge congratulations is due to Dr. Gary Overton, who was recently recognized with a 45-Year Service Award from East Carolina University!

Overton played in the Pirate baseball program, and was the head coach at East Carolina for 13 years, compiling 427 wins over that time.

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

Dead Wrong. As stated above, the AAC women’s basketball coaches poll picked East Carolina to finish dead last in the conference this past season. Of course, those coaches were dead wrong.

Where did the Pirates end up finishing in the AAC regular season standings?
