🔼 Bragging Rights. Whose state is it? North Carolina comes to Greenville tonight to take on East Carolina with bragging rights on the line.

The Pirates are 11-1 in their past 12 home games in the Jungle, which will be sold out yet again for the matchup with the Tar Heels.

ECU already has two wins over the Heels under its belt this season, winning a pair of 6-5 contests early in the year.

🔼 Three To Go. East Carolina baseball currently sits in third place in the AAC, one game behind the two leaders. With three weekends of conference action left, there’s plenty of time to make a move up that leaderboard, especially with many of the top teams still set to play each other.

Let’s take a look at the matchups left for the four teams with winning records in the league.

1. Wichita State (10-5): at Houston, vs South Florida, at UCF

2. Houston (10-5): vs Wichita State, at Tulane, vs Cincinnati

3. East Carolina (9-6): at Cincinnati, vs Memphis, at South Florida

🔼 All-Augustsson. How do you cap off a fantastic first year in Greenville? Being named to The American Athletic Conference’s All-Conference Team isn’t a bad way to finish up your freshman year, Lucas Augustsson.

The future is certainly bright for Augustsson, who posted a team-best 72.78 stroke average and recorded four top-10 finishes in 12 tournaments this season.

Augustsson is the seventh Pirate in school history to earn all-conference honors in The American.

🔼 On An Honor Roll. Bailee Wilson is on a roll - the AAC Weekly Honor Roll, that is.

Wilson went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win against NC State to earn the spot on the weekly list. The senior from Clyo, Ga., is now hitting .271 on the year with four home runs and 23 RBI.
