The Pirates are taking on Marshall at 4:00pm ET on September 9 inside Dowdy-Ficklin Stadium, and will air on ESPNU.

🔼 Byrd Soaring. East Carolina baseball’s Parker Byrd recently sat down with Lauren Shehadi of MLB Network to discuss the Challenged Athletes Foundation, a world leader in adaptive sports movement.

The foundation has supported thousands of athletes with physical challenges just like Byrd, who was injured in a boating accident last year.

🔼 Counting Down. A quick check of the days remaining (and not an obsessive countdown, we swear) before East Carolina kicks off its season against Michigan: 82 more days!

The Pirates made a season-high 82 total tackles twice last season, the first in a 39-21 win over Old Dominion on September 10, and the second in a close 27-25 loss to Cincinnati on November 11.

We can’t wait to see that Pirate defense flying around again soon!
