🔼 He’s (Ye)Savage. The honors keep rolling in for East Carolina right-hander Trey Yesavage - on Tuesday he was named to the ABCA/Rawlings Atlantic All-Region Second Team, and yesterday was named to the NCBWA All-America Second Team.

Yesavage is currently 12th nationally in WHIP (1.00) and 17th in strikeouts per nine innings (12.43) and led the AAC in opposing batting average, hits allowed and runs allowed.

He is the 11th all-region team member in head coach Cliff Godwin’s tenure, and the 13th All-American.

🔼 Hall of Famer. Eddie Hicks is one of the best running backs in East Carolina history. He rushed for more than 2,100 yards for the Pirates, holds the school record for longest run (95), helped the team win the 1978 Independence Bowl and was inducted into the ECU Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014.

He was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the 1979 NFL Draft.

🔼 Solidified Roster. The East Carolina women’s tennis roster just got a boost!

Brooke LaFrenz, Noelle Talarek and Kexuan Zhou will join the Pirates for the 2023-24 season.

LaFrenz joins from Pinehurst, N.C., where she prepped at Pinecrest High School. Talarek hails from Great Falls, Va., where she attended Langley High School. Zhou comes by way of the University of North Texas, where she posted 31 singles victories over four seasons.
