🔼 Hall Of Fame. Six Pirates are heading to the East Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame! All-American high jumper Tynita Butts-Townsend, honorable mention All-American and All-Conference USA/All-American Conference quarterback Shane Carden, All-American wide receiver Justin Hardy, honorable mention All-American and All-Conference USA wide receiver/kick returner Dwayne Harris, athletic director Terry Holland, and three-time SEC Champion wrestler Daniel Monroe will be inducted on November 7.

🔼 Stars In Class. Our Pirates are killing it in the classroom! The ECU volleyball team earned the AVCA team academic award for the fifth straight season, posting a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. ECU’s team GPA landed at 3.4, while nine different players maintained a GPA of at least 3.5.

🔼 Making The Grade. Volleyball isn’t the only team getting academic recognition! The women’s tennis squad earned a spot on the ITA All-Academic Team for the 12th time in the last 14 years. The team posted an annual GPA of 3.82 for the season, with Kim Auerswald, Ines Bachir, Anne Lou Champion, Joan Madi, Brooke LaFrenz, Isabella Rivera Ortiz, Martina Muzzolon, and Lily Lancaster earning ITA Scholar Athlete recognition.
