Yesterday was Superhero Character Day for East Carolina football in the weight room, and the outfits did not disappoint.

We also spot Stone Cold Steve Austin, a Power Ranger and Darth Vader!

🔼 Bortles Gets The Bump Up. Colby Bortles has been promoted to the role of assistant coach/hitting coach for East Carolina baseball, head coach Cliff Godwin announced Monday.

Bortles has spent the last three seasons with the Pirates, most recently as the volunteer assistant, in which the team has won 137 wins and appeared in an NCAA Regional each season.

Congrats, Coach Bortles!

The East Carolina alum, playing for Baltimore’s Triple A affiliate Norfolk, is hitting .318 with a 1.048 OPS this month.

🔼 Swimmin’ Scholars. The East Carolina women’s swimming and diving team continues to be an absolute juggernaut in the classroom!

For the 28th time since spring 2007, the squad has earned Scholar All-America Team honors, as selected by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America.
