🔼 Anotha’ One. Senior defensive back Shavon Revel Jr. was named to the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award Preseason Watch List. The award recognizes the best defensive back in college football based on performance on the field, athletic ability and character. Revel recorded 62 career tackles, 33 solo tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss.

🏴‍☠️ Camp Begins. The football team began preseason camp this week. The Pirates are scheduled to progress to shells for the first time today before a full-gear workout on Tuesday. They will close camp on Saturday, Aug. 17, with its second scrimmage before returning to a customary in-season early morning schedule.
