Pirate Brew 11/3: Pirates Ride the Wave

Today, we're looking at ECU battling the Green Wave tomorrow.

Good morning. Who’s ready to get rowdy in Dowdy this weekend?! Before we do, let’s take a minute to appreciate all the hard work it takes to get the field looking pretty for game day.

What else are we mixing into today's Brew?

🛥 MORE, MORE, AND MORE

Grady-White Scores Again

The new Canyon 386, a 37-foot center console boat, is another winning design from our friends at Grady-White! As fellow pirates, we know you love to ply the waters for fish, fun, and relaxation; and this new boat delivers all that and more. An extra wide beam gives the 386 the most spacious layout of any center console boat of its size on the market today, providing room for four deluxe seats at the helm behind the wide integrated glass windshield, a huge fish-fighting cockpit, and a luxurious console interior, featuring an enclosed head with sink. That means plenty of space for the captain, first mate, and a crew of lads and lassies. Contact your dealer to learn more about this exceptional boat.

🔼 Back at Home. The Pirates come back to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium this weekend to face No. 21 Tulane. Head coach Mike Houston addressed the team’s performance against San Antonio last weekend in his weekly press conference and pointed out what the Pirates are focusing on for tomorrow. The big thing is mentality and to only focus on one game at a time. For Javious Bond, he is back at practice, but coaches don’t want to push him too quickly.

🔼 Oh Hello. We’ve got someone new to welcome to the Pirate family— Kaelin Hogan, as assistant coach for lacrosse. Hogan was recently at Roger Williams University, where she helped guide the team to three consecutive Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament titles and NCAA Tournament appearances. She also played at RWU for college and tied and set new career records.

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

Keep it Up. The football team has a long history with Tulane, and it’s a good one. ECU leads the series 12-7 and is 9-2 against Tulane at home and will look to add another win tomorrow.

Today’s question— how many of the last 12 games have the Pirates won against Tulane?
