Good morning. The East Carolina soccer team came from behind to defeat UNC Greensboro 2-1 on Thursday night in Johnson Stadium. After Taylor Mentzer scored the opening goal for the Spartans, scores from Sydney Schnell and Emma Sheehan pushed the Pirates back in front for the victory.
 
The Pirates will return to Johnson Stadium on Sunday night at 5:30pm ET to take on the Campbell Camels (more on that below).

To do that, we'll also look back at the impressive history of the Pirates commanding this rivalry. With nine wins, one loss, and one tie, it’s safe to say the Pirates have the upper hand…er, header.

During their last outing in August of last year, Lucy Fazackerley's header was pivotal, as the East Carolina soccer team downed Campbell, 1-1, at the Eakes Athletics Complex. The goal was the first of Fazackerley's career.
