📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Big Hits. The baseball team took on Duke and fell 6-4. Braden Burgess went 4-for-5 at the plate with a home run, two runs and two RBIs. Ethan Young pitched three innings and struck out three batters.

🔼 Close One. The women’s lacrosse team took on No. 12/13 Duke. The Pirates fought hard but fell 14-13. Kayla Wilkes had an impressive game with three goals, one assist, nine draw controls, three ground balls and two caused turnovers.

🔼 One Short. The softball team fell to Elon 8-7. Kanisha Anderson and Annie Kate Dalton each recorded two hits. Taylor Apple and Jordan Hatch threw two strikeouts each.

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

Weekly Awards. Two Pirates earned Honorable Mentions from the American Athletic Conference.

🏴‍☠️ Conference Champion. Jocelyn Pringle was supposed to be a college basketball player. She was committed to the University of Tampa before she picked up track in high school. She tore her ACL during the summer of senior year and that changed her goals to track instead of basketball.
