East Carolina Baseball becomes AAC regular season winners for the fifth-straight season

Good morning. East Carolina swept Rice to ensure an outright fifth-straight American Athletic Conference regular season title by capturing both ends of a doubleheader Friday by scores of 15-5 (eight innings) and 6-4.
 
The Pirates will serve as the AAC Baseball Championship top seed for the fifth straight iteration of the tourney as they now await the news of their opponent for the first round of the AAC Baseball Championship Saturday evening.

🔼 The Jackson ‘n’ Johnson Jams. East Carolina sophomore outfielder Emma Jackson and graduate first baseman Morgan Johnson have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Mideast Region First Team and Second Team, respectively.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second and third-team selections. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2024 NFCA Division I All-America squads.

🔼 Last But Certainly Not Least. East Carolina junior outfielder Jacob Jenkins-Cowart has been named the final American Athletic Conference Player of the Week of the 2024 regular season. The weekly honor marks the second of the year for Jenkins-Cowart as he was recognized back on Feb. 19 following the Pirates' Opening Weekend sweep of Rider.
