📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Going for Distance. The track and field team competed in the Duke Invitational this past weekend. Starrett Vesper launched the best shot put ever by a Pirate in the decathlon with a mark of 13.02 meters. Lily Schlossberg got the distance group started with the No. 7 time in program history in the 1,500 meter with a time of 4:33.21 while finishing third overall.

🔼 Series Win. The baseball team won its series against Charlotte 11-0, 5-1, and lost 7-8. In game one, Trey Yesavage and Jackson DiLorenzo didn’t allow Charlotte to get a single hit. Ryley Johnson had a strong performance at the plate going 3-for-3 in game two.

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

History Made. The baseball team threw two no-hitters in the same week. This is the first time that has happened in program history in a while.

We like our Brew hot n’ fresh. But we’re not opposed to you reheating your cup. Here’s some news you may have missed recently…

🏴‍☠️ Sweep. The women’s tennis team swept Norfolk State 4-0 in its home finale. The Pirates won the doubles point and five singles matches to clinch the win. The team is going into the American Athletic Conference Championships with a three-game win streak.

🏴‍☠️ One Win. The softball team won one game in its series against Tulsa. The Pirates won 5-2 in game two of the series. Mary Kathryn-Scott hit her first home run of the season.
