Good morning. Women’s tennis has matches coming up this weekend and one ECU men’s tennis alumni just finished his match for the week. Joran Vliegen competed in the Australian Open on Monday. Here’s a short clip of the match.

🔼 Shocked em’. The Pirates defeated the Wichita State Shockers 54-52 to snag their third conference win. They also put the Shockers on an eight-game losing streak. Brandon Johnson scored 12 points and had seven rebounds. RJ Felton and Ezra Ausar each had 10 points. Everyone was quite happy about the dub.

🔼 Dive In. The American Athletic Conference selected Frida Guzman as the Diver of the Week. Guzman posted top scores in the one and three-meter dive in the meet against Liberty. Her two scores, 284.55 and 313.58, were NCAA Zone Diving-qualifying marks and landed her first place in both events.

Three-Way Tie. Danae McNeal has three 30-point performances in her time at ECU so far. She is currently tied with Debbie Freeman (‘76-77), Kathy Riley (‘80-81) and Tonya Hargrove (‘91-92).
