📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Long Wait. The anticipation to see who would take the win at the ECU vs. Marshall game was a two-hour wait due to storms causing a delay of the game. Both teams put up 10 points in the second quarter. After a long halftime, ECU added three points in the third to take the lead. What looked like a good lead for ECU, however, soon changed as Marshall flipped the switch in the fourth and scored 21 points to take the win. The Pirates will look to get their first win against Appalachian State this weekend.

🔼 Treasure Found. The Pirates stole the show at the Seahawk Invitational, winning all three games to get a trophy. ECU faced Norfolk State first and didn’t let them get more than 15 points in any set. Their battle against UNCW was more intense as they went into extra points in the first set (26-24) and were very close in digs (41-43), assists (38-35), and blocks (6-5).

ECU almost had a shutout weekend, but Alabama State had to win one set to mess with our mojo. The Hornets won the first set but had no chance to catch up in the next three. The Pirates put up a huge 14 blocks, with Carlia Northcross having nine of them.

🏴‍☠️ Long Legacy. At Friday night's football game against Marshall, Jeff Charles was honored with a tribute where his family and friends reflected on his legacy. A microphone and sign were added to the home radio booth in honor of his time being the voice of the Pirates.

🏴‍☠️ Double Knot. The soccer team tied against Western Carolina 1-1, making that their second tie so far this season. Emma Sheehan scored her first ECU goal for the only goal of the game.
