🔼 Different Approach. The game seemed to be going in the Pirate's favor, with Alex Flinn making his first career start at quarterback until Appalachian State took the lead in the third quarter. ECU was ahead 21-16 at halftime, with Rahjai Harris running in both a seven-yard and four-yard touchdown and Antoine Jackson scoring on an eight-yard interception. Shavon Revel got ECU back in the lead at the top of the third quarter with a 57-yard fumble recovery, but the Mountaineers came back to win the game 43-28.

🔼 One and Done. Sometimes, all it takes is one play to determine the fate of the game. Sydney Schnell made that play early in the game when she scored with a left-footed kick to the top of the net for the only goal of the game against UNC Greensboro. This is Schnell's second goal of the season and the team's fifth shutout. The Pirate's next opponent is UAB, who they will face on Thursday at 8 p.m.

🏴‍☠️ Two Down. Volleyball snagged two wins this weekend. Their first win was against Duquesne, and they shut them out 3-0. The second win went into five sets for a 3-2 victory over Virginia Tech.

🏴‍☠️ Fast Feet. The cross country team competed in the Adidas XC Challenge, and the women finished in sixth, with Alyssa Zack leading the Pirates in the 5k with a time of 17:52.6. The men finished in fifth, and Alex Sawyer led the Pirates with an 18:30.6 6k time.
