🔼 At the Peak. This past week was a success for Pirates soccer, especially for goalkeeper Maeve English and Lucy Fazackerley. English was named Goalkeeper of the Week after getting back-to-back shutouts for a career total of 15.

Fazackerley was named Rookie of the Week for her first career goal, which was an awesome header, in just the fifth minute of the Campbell game. The women play again tomorrow at home against the UNCW Seahawks at 7 p.m.

🔼 Busy Bees. Ever since school started, women’s basketball has been very busy. The team went to Elmhurst Elementary to welcome students back to school. Then, they had a very energetic practice with Khia Miller mic’d up, and finally, the queens sat pretty for a preseason photo shoot.

The Final Days. The countdown to the first football game is almost over because now we’re only three days away. Speaking of the number three, the Pirate’s longest win streak last season was three games.

🏴‍☠️ On Saturdays, We Wear Purple. Don’t miss your chance to wear purple and gold to our upcoming home games. Know which day to wear which color so the stadium is all in sync.

🏴‍☠️ Walk em’ Down. The football team will do their first Pirate walk at the home opener against Marshall at 1:30. All fans are encouraged to cheer on the team while the ECU Marching Band and Spirit Squad lead head coach Mike Houston and the players from the Scales Field House toward the Ward Sports Medicine Building at the team’s locker room.
