📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Comeback Victory. The softball team faced Florida Atlantic this past weekend. The women dropped the opening game 10-1 on Friday. They came back to sweep Saturday’s doubleheader with 3-1 and 3-2 wins. Kanisha Anderson went 2-for-4 at the plate in the first win and Julia Apostolakos won the mound. Anderson had two RBIs in the second win and Taylor Apple earned the win on the mound. 

🔼 Series. The baseball team beat Penn State 17-3 on Friday in seven innings. The Pirates had 16 hits. Jack Herrings hit a grand slam in the fourth inning. Joseph Webb earned the win on the mound. Penn State came back to even the series with a 1-0 win on Saturday. ECU finished the weekend with a walk-off 8-7 win on Sunday. Michael Kalinich hit a leadoff home run in the bottom of the 10th to secure the win.

🔼 Wrapped Up. The swim and dive team competed in the CSCAA National Invitational Championships. The Pirates finished 15th out of 52 schools with a score of 216.5. Carlie Clements led the way in the pool with two program record-breaking performances in the 100 backstroke and the 200 backstroke. Frida Zuniga finished top 10 in all three diving events.

🔼 Round One. The men’s golf team hosted the 2026 ECU Intercollegiate at Brook Valley Country Club. On day one, the team shot 292 (+4). Philip Linberg Bondestad is in first place individually with a score of 68 (-4).

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

Honors. Track and field athlete Kelly Ufodiama earned a pair of Second Team All-America finishes at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championship.

She finished ## in the 200m and 15th in the 60m.

🏴‍☠️ Wrapped Up. The women’s basketball team fell in the semifinals of the American Conference Tournament. The Pirates lost 54-44 to UTSA on Friday. Kennedy Fauntleroy led the team with 12 points. The Pirates will wait and see if they have earned a WBIT bid.
