🔼 Series Win. The softball team swept UTSA in its doubleheader on Friday to secure the series win. The Pirates won 2-1 and 8-6. With the wins, ECU secured a bye at next week’s American Conference Championship. In game one, Kanisha Anderson led the team with two hits. Gabby Fowler, Hailey Deter and Lilian Martineau all had two hits each in game two. The women won the final game 5-2 on Sunday. Anderson and Anna Sawyer hit back-to-back home runs. ECU will have a one-game bye to the quarterfinals of the American Conference Softball Championship at Max R. Joyner Family Stadium, facing the winner of the No. 6 seed and No.7/10 seed on Thursday at 2:30pm.
🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA
Close Game. The women’s lacrosse team faced No. 25 James Madison in the American Conference semifinals. After having a 6-5 lead going into the fourth quarter, JMU ended up scoring four goals while ECU scored one, and the Pirates fell 9-7.

🏴☠️ Earning Wins. The baseball team took on Memphis this past weekend. The Pirates won game one 12-0 on Friday in eight innings. Braden Burress led the team with three hits. Austin Irby and Walker Barron each had two hits. Ryan Towers threw 7.0 innings and struck out 10 batters. The men fell in game two 5-3 and game three 9-4.
