🔼 He’s Just That Guy. You’ve heard his name many times this school year, and now you are hearing it again. Alex Sawyer, senior cross country star athlete. Sawyer had hurdles to jump over to get to where he is now. He has been the top performer at every cross-country meet so far this season but has a deeper love for track. Sawyer has his eyes set on getting four school records in the 1,000m, 1,500m, 3,000m, and the DMR. Before he can do that, Sawyer will compete in the 2023 American Athletic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

🏴‍☠️ Savage Sowa. Abby Sowa is an animal on the field. Her amazing skills scored her an American Athletic Conference Honor Roll spot after two strong performances in Texas. Sowa scored a goal against North Texas and played the full 90 minutes in the SMU and North Texas matches.

🏴‍☠️ Double A. We have another American Athletic Conference Honor Roll, and this time, it is for volleyball player Angeles Alderete. She had a total of 24 kills and 25 digs in the two matches against Memphis. Watch Alderete on the court on Friday when the Pirates battle Rice on ESPN+.
