📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Series Sweep. The baseball team swept UAB 6-2, 4-3 and 7-1. The Pirates had a doubleheader on Friday, where Trey Yesavage tossed 6.1 scoreless innings. Zach Root is now 4-0 on the mound. The Pirates took the lead back in game two in the fifth inning when a fielding error scored Jacob Starling. The Pirates only allowed UAB one hit in game three. Ethan Norby picked up his first career win on the mound and threw a career-best four scoreless and hitless innings.

🔼 Split Weekend. The women’s tennis team had a split weekend as they beat Hampton 4-3, but lost against Richmond 5-2. The Pirates won the doubles point against Richmond and one singles match. The team flipped the switch against Hampton as they lost the doubles point and won five singles matches.

So Many Records. Below, you will read about all the records our track and field team broke at the Raleigh Relays. Melicia Mouzzon actually set two program records— 7th fastest in the 4×100 and first in the 200m.

We like our Brew hot n’ fresh. But we’re not opposed to you reheating your cup. Here’s some news you may have missed recently…

🏴‍☠️ Relay On. The track and field team competed in the Raleigh Relays this past weekend and posted two program records, a pair of event wins and several more top-10 marks. Naadiya Faison has now thrown over 15m on 11 of 12 attempts during the outdoor season. In program history, only four athletes have done so even once. Faith Spencer had a 12.42m leap in the triple jump to place her at fifth in program history.

🏴‍☠️ First Place! The men’s golf team competed at the Cutter Creek Invitational, and Lucas Augustsson fired a 9-under par 207 to claim top medalist honors. The team also placed first with an overall score of 840 (-24). Augustsson now has a program-best four tournament career wins.
