📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Day 1. The track and field team competed in the American Athletic Conference Championships and had a great start. On day one, Nyah Edwards earned All-Conference honors with her third-place finish in the women’s hammer throw. Melicia Mouzzon beat her own program record in the 200m with a time of 22.85. In total, five Pirates put points on the board, and three more advanced to finals in running events.

🔼 Day 2. Three athletes finished in scoring position, and four more advanced to finals after day two of the Championships. Starrett Vesper broke his own program record in the decathlon discus throwing with a toss of 44.82m to win the event. Lily Schlossberg equaled her personal best in the 800m with a time of 2:12.49.

🤔 PIRATES TRIVIA

We like our Brew hot n’ fresh. But we’re not opposed to you reheating your cup. Here’s some news you may have missed recently…

🏴‍☠️ Day 3. Two athletes earned conference titles, Sydni McMillan and Rebekah Bergquist, and the Pirates finished on the podium in the women’s 4×100 and the 100m. Bergquist won the discus with a 50.44m throw. McMillan won the 100m hurdles with a time of 13.06. The women finished in fifth place with 67 points, and the men finished in ninth with 28 points.

🏴‍☠️ Great Play. The baseball team faced Tulane this past weekend, and Erik Ritchie had an amazing bases-loaded double play. Watch it here.
