📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Undefeated! The softball team took down Saint Joseph’s 8-0 and Cleveland State 13-0 all in one day. The women scored in all five innings and had 11 hits against Saint Joseph’s. Emma Jackson went 2-2, and pitcher Addy Bullis earned the win, getting six strikeouts and only allowing two hits. Jackson went 3-4 against Cleveland, hitting all doubles, and Anna Sawyer went 2-2. Taylor Apple earned the win after allowing just one hit in four innings.

On Saturday, the team beat Saint Joseph’s 8-0 and College of Charleston 8-4. The 8-0 win was the Pirate’s third straight run-rule victory for the first team since 2017. On Sunday, the women beat Cleveland State 6-2. The Pirates had nine hits, and Anna Sawyer went 2-4 at the plate with two RBIs.

🔼 Opening Dub. The women’s lacrosse team defeated Queens 15-12 for its first win of the season. Erin Gulden and Frances Kimel each scored four goals and had an assist. The Pirates scored five goals in the second and third quarters to take the lead. This is head coach Brittany Dipper’s first game and first win at ECU.

Be There! The softball team just swept its opening weekend at the Charleston Invitational. The team is 6-0 and is coming back to Greenville for its first home game this week.

🏴‍☠️ Great Finish. The track and field team competed at Liberty’s Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational this past weekend and inked two athletes into the program’s top-10 list. Terence Booth Jr. went 7.89 in the 60m hurdles, putting him in second place in ECU history. Colin McCauley had a 5,000m time of 14:58.96, which put him eighth in the history book.

🏴‍☠️ Win #3. The women’s tennis team took down George Washington for its third straight win of the season. The Pirates beat them 4-2, winning the doubles point and four singles matches.
