📈 STOCK UP

🔼 Record! The women’s basketball team beat Temple 79-73. Four Pirates scored in double figures to propel the team to a fourth-straight win. ECU now has 11 wins and is just one game shy of tying the program record for conference wins in a season. The six-consecutive road game wins are a program record.

🔼 Road Win. The men’s basketball team beat Rice on Saturday, 85-75. Jordan Riley scored a team-high 22 points and Demitri Gardner added a season-high 21 points. This marks the team’s third road conference win of the season.

🔼 Tourney Host. The softball team hosted the Purple-Gold Classic this past weekend. On Friday, the Pirates beat Buffalo 8-7 and fell to Notre Dame 6-3. On Saturday, the women came back to beat Notre Dame 4-3. However, they fell to Maryland 4-1. ECU finished the weekend with another win over Maryland, 2-1. Jenna Krol went 2-for-3 at the plate. Taylor Apple picked up the win in the circle.

🏴‍☠️ Opening Weekend. The baseball team opened its season against Xavier. The Pirates fell in game one 4-3. Jack Herring hit a home run. ECU has now recorded at least one home run in its season opener or home opener every year since 2023. The Pirates split their doubleheader on Saturday, falling in game one 9-3 and winning game two 12-5.
