🔼 Streak! The women’s basketball team won its 5th straight game and 20th game of the season on Tuesday. The Pirates beat Florida Atlantic 74-61. The victory gave ECU its eighth 20-win regular season in program history and tied the program record with 12 conference victories. Anzhané Hutton notched her third double-double of the year with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

🔼 Top 5. The men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the Wexford Intercollegiate. Philip Lindberg Bondestad led the Pirates with a score of 215 (+1), landing in eighth place individually. This marks his fourth top 10 placement of the season. Davis DeLille took 17th for his second top 20 finish of the year.

The red hot ECU women's basketball team looks to keep the momentum going as they get ready for their first place showdown with Rice while the men's team continues to play their best basketball of the season. Restructured Contract. East Carolina University's Board of Trustees approved a restructured contract on Friday for head football coach Blake Harrell.

Harrell has led the Pirates to consecutive Military Bowl victories and a ##-# overall record since Oct. 20, 2024.

🏴‍☠️ New Contract. Director of Athletics Jon Gilbert earned a three-year contract extension. Gilbert will continue as ECU’s Director of Athletics through December 2029. He came to ECU in December of 2018. Under his leadership, the Pirate Club achieved its most productive four-year stretch in history, surpassing $103 million in new gifts and commitments as of February 2026. This fundraising success has fueled major facility milestones, including the $10.3 million expansion of Clark-LeClair Stadium.
