🔼 Strong Start. The women’s golf team finished third in the Cardinal Cup. This was the team’s first event of the season, shooting a tournament-low 288 in the third round. Overall, the team scored 884 (+20). Marta Perez led the Pirates with a final score of 219 (+3) to tie for seventh place.

⛳️ Here are all of the golfer’s scores.

🔼 Opening Weekend. The women’s tennis team competed in its first fall event and gained 15 victories. The Pirates faced Elon, Liberty, N.C. Central and Virginia Tech at the Jimmy Powell Invitational. The women had nine singles and six doubles wins. Lilly Lancaster and Xenia Jeromin won their first collegiate singles victories. Jeromin and Ines Bachir won all three of their doubles bouts.

🔼 Sunk. The soccer team suffered its first loss of the season against James Madison 2-0. The Pirates are now 4-1-3 this season.

🏴‍☠️ Tight Game. The football team faced Appalachian State on Saturday and lost 21-19. Winston Wright Jr. and Shavon Revel Jr. scored. Wright Jr. caught a 65-yard pass, and Revel Jr. had a 50-yard interception. Andrew Conrad made two field goals at 48 and 43 yards.
